  • You want a free plan for short sessions: 1 hour a day.
  • You like a character on screen, or a spoken nudge on Pro.

Choose Poxture if

  • You want a Mac app that watches for leaning in, looking down and a hand at your chin, and shows a card on how to fix each.
  • You'd like to pay once, $19, after 14 days free.

What SitApp is

SitApp is a posture coach for Mac, Windows and Linux, made by Aston Smith Ltd. Its site says it "uses your webcam and on-device AI". You set it up by sitting the way you'd like to sit, then slouching the way you actually sit, which takes "About a minute". When you slouch, "The Droid pokes its head into the corner of your screen", with silent visuals or, on Pro, a voice line. It also has break reminders with a guided minute of movement.1,4

What it costs

On 21 October 2026 SitApp's website listed a free plan with 1 hour of daily posture monitoring, Pro at $34.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, and Lifetime at $89.99, paid once. For teams it lists $5 per seat per month, billed annually.1,2

Privacy

SitApp says "Your webcam feed never leaves your computer", and its privacy policy says it does not store webcam images or recordings. Its App Store privacy label lists data linked to you: contact info, purchases, identifiers, usage data, and crash and performance data.1,3,4

Poxture's camera images never leave your Mac either: it reads each frame in memory and drops it, and keeps numbers, not video. The privacy page lists what the app does send, and how to check the camera yourself.

How Poxture is different

Poxture is a Mac app only, for Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 15 or later. Instead of a character, it shows a soft glow at the top of the screen, and a card shows how to fix the habit it saw.

It watches for five habits: leaning in, head down, hand at chin, and the beta checks slump and not moving. The camera is off whenever Poxture isn't watching: when you pause, outside your work hours, during calls if you choose, and when the Mac is locked.
